Lash extensions on average will last people around two weeks before needing a fill-in! Lash retention is 50% your lash techs application and skill and 50% how you participate in the aftercare instructions after your appointment. It also can very depending on your hair growth cycle and hormones. For example, some pregnant people who get there lashes done can experience quick shedding! Just like our hair on our head, our lashes shed 2-5 per day. We just don't notice until one gets in our eye or when a lash is attached!
An acrylic full set on average also lasts 2-3 weeks before needing a fill in. Just like our hair, our nail grows. It is important not to wait too long (4 weeks) to get your fill in depending on your nail growth cycle, because as the apex moves too far on the nail plate, the less support there is. Some peoples' hair and nail cycle are slower allowing there services to last longer.
The ratio of your natural nail to nail extension also plays a factor in retention as well. If you have really short and bitten natural nails and have an xxl extension it increases the chance of a broken nail or popping off.
