This industry is so lucrative, it forces you to keep up. What I do is important, and being uneducated is not an option. Having the knowledge and proper education will always be one of my priorities in order to stay up to date on protocols and discoveries within the industry.

This is one of the reasons why I love what I do. I previously wanted to be a mental health counselor until I was led to this. This world is hard to navigate, and I take pride in the fact that I can do a few things to take stress off of my clients and make them see the beauty that was already within. I am a friend to my clients and a listening ear. I love it!

I've worked in customer service for quite some time. Due to that experience, I have transferred those skills into my business. I will check up on you a couple of days after your service and ask how everything is, if theres any questions, etc. Its important to me to have that communication with my clients before, during, and after a service to ensure satisfaction!

Jessica Joyce Maize
Hi! My name is Jessica Maize. I am the Owner & CEO of The Maize Experience by JJM, JJM Cosmetics,
and JJM Skin. I am a licensed advanced esthetician & nail technician. I specialize in lash extensions, makeup application, and nail art. I graduated from Cosmetology school in September 2022 and then proceeded to take my state board exams before the end of 2022.
From a young age, I started to explore makeup. During my teen years, I started to get good at it. I put that to the side and started focusing on college classes in highschool because i wanted to be in the psychology field. During that time, I would do peoples prom and homecoming makeup. Fast forward to my senior year in 2020, the pandemic shut our school down and I was quite bored. I got inspiration from a youtube video on how to make homeade lipgloss and start a lipgloss business. That is when JJM Cosmetics, LLC was born! During that time as well, I started to get lash extensions done. My lash tech mentioned to me that they had a course. I invested in myself and took it. I fell head over heels for the industry and soaked up all of the knowledge I could get. After furthering my skill, I learned that I have to go to esthetician school in order to do what i wanted to do, so I went! I decided I had interest in nails, too. After getting all of those goals checked off, The Maize Experience by JJM was born!
I am excited to finally start my career and learn more along the way.
Mission statement – "Know Your Worth"
This continues to be a lesson in my life. Just when you think you've mastered it- another test comes to break your self worth down. So if you don't know anything, know your worth. It saves you from a lot of mistakes and a lot of heartbreak. It gives you a strong foundation and something to lean back on when other aspects of your life seem to fall apart. Knowing your worth is just the foundation. Once you know your worth, it sets you up to have self respect. Meaning if you tell yourself you're gonna do something, you know your worth so you're gonna get it done.
I hope with every client I touch, that I make them feel a little more worthy then they did before. I know how it feels; to think you're worthless. No one deserves that pain.
